CREATIVE DIRECTOR
The Creative Director oversees the creative team and all creative execution done within the agency. The Creative Director works closely with the Account Director to ensure the client’s needs are met and creative goals are on track. The Creative Director is deeply involved with every aspect of the creative process, from concepting to delivery, while making sure deadlines are being met within their department. The Creative Director should always have a working knowledge of all projects within the agency, including those assigned to others.
The Creative Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leadership.
- Lead the creative team in concepting and producing work products, achieving excellence for our clients and for Matchbook.
- Willingness to take responsibility for all creative work that leaves the agency and explain any work delivered to clients.
- Collaborate with and provide constructive feedback and guidance to the creative team to push for the best results.
- Manage and provide mentorship to develop the skills of our creative team.
- Manage budgeted time and deadlines to help our team maintain profitability in the work we do and deliver.
Creative Work.
- Produce creative work for clients and Matchbook, including both traditional and digital design.
- Provide direction for video and photoshoots, including, but not limited to, messaging, storyboards, shot lists, edits, etc.
- Provide creative direction and oversight to vendors when needed to expand the capacity of our team or to provide a creative service that isn’t able to be done in-house.
Collaboration.
- Collaborate with and oversee team members and partners producing creative work, including staff, production companies, and freelancers.
- Collaborate with strategists, writers, designers, and web developers to produce work that meets client goals and helps grow client relationships.
- Work hand in hand with our team to ensure our work is on strategy and exceeding the expectations of our clients.
- Utilize our productivity tools (Asana, Harvest, Google Suite, In-person conversations) to remain in sync with our team.
Must haves:
- A working knowledge of full-service creative including written, designed, audio, video, and interactive deliverables.
- Proven experience in an agency environment with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse creative projects.
- Expertise in digital design, including hands-on proficiency with Figma.
- Solid foundation in traditional design principles and processes.
- Skilled in preparing and setting up design files to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Availability to work on-site in Indianapolis three days per week, fostering collaboration and team synergy.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 [dependent on experience level]
