Matchbook CEO chairs Indiana March of Dimes board.
Matchbook is extremely proud to share that Matchbook CEO Donna Gray has been selected as the Chair of the Board for the Indiana March of Dimes. Gray has previously served as a Board Member and Vice Chairman of the not-for-profit, a nationwide organization with the mission of providing medical care for preterm infants and their mothers, and has been a faithful donor for 18 years since her own experience with the organization. “My son was a micro-premi, born at 25 weeks gestation,” Gray said. “During the precious weeks before the birth, potentially life-saving medications were administered, increasing my son’s chances for survival. March of Dimes helped fund the studies and development of these drugs for preterm infants.”
“I’m honored,” she said regarding her appointment, “but I also realize what an important role this is. I want to work hard to be a strong leader for our board.” Indiana is a state in which March of Dimes can affect a significant amount of change; it earned a grade of C (on an A-F scale) on March of Dimes’ premature birth report card with a premature birth rate of 9.8% in 2018. With increased resources and funding, March of Dimes can take on a significant leadership role in continuing to lower the premature birth rate within the state and provide exceptional medical care to infants and mothers.
“I want the public to know this organization,” Gray said. “March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. They believe that every baby deserves the best possible start in life.” For those looking to get involved with this incredible organization, March of Dimes’ largest fundraising events, March for Babies and Signature Chefs, provide an opportunity to make a difference. Congratulations, Donna!
